GenGreen Certification
GenGreen Business Certification is a 3-tiered test that gauges a business' environmentally and socially conscious behavior based on the following criteria: environmental leadership, resource conservation, human capital, purchasing decisions and daily operations.The Certification test can be accessed directly from your GenGreenLife.com account and completed entirely online. Once submitted, the assessment will be graded and returned within 48 hours. After completing the assessment, businesses are awarded a distinctive emblem (gold, silver or bronze) that corresponds to their score and is displayed on their listing and profile. This emblem may be displayed on professional websites and other marketing materials allowing consumers to know they are supporting a credible and transparent company. GenGreen believes that it is important to acknowledge companies' efforts (both large and small) when it comes to their environmental stewardship. We recognize the fact that most companies are not perfect but are constantly striving to be better. This is why we hope to encourage companies making an effort in whatever ways they can and hopefully demonstrate to others the benefits gained by servicing the world in a more sustainable fashion. We employ different levels of certification in order to be transparent with our efforts and to ensure that businesses will not be judged for their imperfections, but rather lifted up for their efforts. * Please note the GenGreen Certification is valid for one year from purchase, after which time the company will be asked to reassess their efforts, and will be awarded a higher or lower score based on changes made over the year. If they so choose, a company may complete a reassessment six months after the initial assessment. Charges apply for new assessments. Gold Level GenGreen CertificationCompanies that scored above 75% on their certification tests and are the highest level of approval available within GenGreen. These companies have proven themselves exemplary environmental stewards in their various business activities.  Silver Level GenGreen CertificationCompanies scoring between 50-74% and are showing a tremendous amount of effort with their sustainability initiatives. These companies should be held in high regard for the steps they are taking.  Bronze Level GenGreen CertificationThese companies scored between 25-49% and have begun to make some solid changes to better serve the environment in their respective fields. While still maintaining areas that can be improved upon, these companies have gone above and beyond many companies by making the environment a priority when it comes to doing business and should be supported for doing so. Every little bit makes a difference. By offering the three different levels of GenGreen Certification, businesses can share with us the efforts they are making while being transparent about the areas that still need improvement. This puts the ball in the court of our users to determine what level of environmental stewardship is important to them as individuals when making decisions about what businesses they want to support.
